Calvin Begay Inlaid Kokopelli Pendant

P11PCB

$ 379.00

Handcrafted Native American Jewelry

This lovely pendant comes from our Calvin Begay starry night collection. Calvin Begay is an inlay designer who is in Gallup, NM. He and his team of Navajo artists are well-known in the Native American jewelry community. They create a variety of inlaid Native American jewelry, but their specialty is this pueblo work. They meticulously cut each stone to create a picture of pueblos under a starry night.

The pueblo buildings are made of pictures jasper with tiny pieces of jet for the windows and doors. The dark sky is jet with small round pieces of silver for stars. There is also a streak of created opal that runs through the sky. This makes for a very pretty display in this pendant!

This pendant is shaped as a Kokopelli, which is one of the most iconic symbols in Native American culture. The Kokopelli is a flute player which is symbolic in several ways, including music and fertility. This Kokopelli pendant has nice stamp-work detailing, in addition to the pretty inlay work.

This Calvin Begay pendant is a perfect size that won't get lost while it is being worn. It is about 2 1/4" long, including the bail. It is 1 1/4" from the Kokopelli's head to its feet. We do ask that you allow around six weeks to receive. If we do not have this in stock one will be made for you. Due to the handcrafted nature, the inlay work may differ slightly from what you see shown here.
