This pendant shows the unbelievable level of artistry that can be attained with in Native American inlaid jewelry. This is a Calvin Begay piece, who specializes in this intricate nighttime pueblo jewelry. Calvin and his team of Navajo artists can create pictures through stones. The pueblos are picture jasper and have tiny pieces of jet that make up the doors and windows. The night sky is also jet and is dotted with round silver pieces to look like stars. Tiny, cultured opal and red coral stones create a shooting star across the sky. Finally, a slice of turquoise at the bottom represents a river flowing past the pueblos. Keep in mind that these Native American jewelry artists hand-cut and inlay every single stone, even the tiniest. Their craftmanship is almost unreal.
Beyond the striking inlay work, this pendant has an interesting angular shape, sort of like you sliced out a piece from a diamond shape. The two bottom sides have a matching wavy pattern, while a third has a notched design. This intriguing design gives added personality to this pendant.
This Calvin Begay pendant is 1 3/4" long (including its bail) and 1" at its widest. Please be aware when ordering that it may take around six weeks to receive this pendant.
