Sonoran Gold Turquoise can have an amazing amount of color variation in a single stone. Just like the stone in this pendant, it can have a great mix of blue and green with some gold interlaced throughout. I really enjoy how this one has green mostly in the center with the outer rim being bluer. It gives a nice outline that helps draw your eye to the center. This bright color is what makes Sonoran Gold Turquoise so distinguishing. It is so different and really draws a lot of attention.
This pendant was handmade in New Mexico by a Native American jewelry artist. He added some stamp detailing around the outside of the stone for a little extra decoration. This is done by hammering specialized stamps over the silver. The artist must ensure that the stamp is placed in exactly the right spot, otherwise, the entire piece can be ruined. These Navajo jewelers have a lot of experience and always put a great deal of care into their work.
This pendant is 2 1/4" long and 1 1/4" wide. It is a good size which makes it extra showy. There is even an 18" sterling silver chain included so it is all ready for you to wear. This Sonoran Gold Turquoise pendant is certainly a showpiece!
