Have you ever seen a piece of jewelry that instantly reminds you of something? Well, the first thing that I thought of when I saw this pendant was that it looks like a compass or a compass rose from a map. One customer said that it reminded her of a cross and another thought it looked like a turtle. Regardless, it has a very unique style, unlike anything I have ever seen before. I am very proud to say that this pendant was handmade by my father, Gary Glandon, right here at Stagecoach.
This turquoise pendant has a natural Turquoise Mountain stone, which is part of the Kingman mine. This turquoise has a lovely mixture of green and blue with a bright yellow matrix running throughout. The combination of these colors makes for a stunning piece of turquoise that you will never grow tired of looking at. Gary got this stone directly from the miner so he was able to pick out the very best quality. I could go on and on about how much I love this turquoise.
Gary added a lot of pretty detailing to this pendant. You, of course, noticed the silver bars protruding from all four sides. The silver layer beneath these is slightly darker and has been textured with a new hammer that Gary been experimenting with. He made the bail at the top very large so that you could pair a nice pair of beads with this pendant. We currently have this displayed with a set of sterling silver beads which makes this a stunning necklace. If you are interested in adding these beads please contact us at 308-234-3313 for more information.
While I may be slightly biased towards my father, I personally believe that this is one of the most gorgeous turquoise pendants that I have seen in some time. The high-grade natural turquoise has beautiful coloring combined with Gary's unique silver-work. I promise that you will absolutely adore this turquoise pendant!
