Native American Sonoran Gold Turquoise Jewelry
Here we have a really beautiful Sonoran Gold Turquoise pendant that was handmade by Native American jewelry artists in the American Southwest. Sonoran Gold is a new turquoise mine in Sonora, Mexico. These stones are different from most other types of turquoise in that they have a bright green color with a gold matrix. You can get a lot of variation in these stones and they certainly have a lot of character. This particular stone is bright green with a yellow hue and trace of blue mixed in. It has a really natural look that you could stare at for hours.
This pendant was handmade in sterling silver by a Navajo artist in New Mexico. He started with a sheet of silver and cut, hammered, and soldered until he had created this beautiful piece. I really enjoy the sterling silver design around the stone that was done with a tiny jeweler's saw blade. There is really a lot of work that goes into this pendant. As an added benefit, this pendant comes with its own 18" sterling silver chain. Don't miss out on this unusual piece, there is only one of them!
