Beautiful Sonoran Gold Turquoise Jewelry

This Sonoran Gold Turquoise ring is a perfect example of how colorful this stone can be. It is about 3/4 green with a ribbon of blue right down the center. You also have plenty of the gold matrix that gives this turquoise part of its name. This is very typical of what Sonoran Gold Turquoise often looks like. That being said, every stone is different so you will not ever see another ring exactly like this. This singularity is part of what makes Native American turquoise jewelry so wonderful.

Sonoran Gold Turquoise comes from Sonora, MX and just recently hit the market. It is known for its intense green coloring with a gold matrix interlaced throughout. This stone is very popular at Stagecoach and is often one of the first things that people notice when walking in. If you are looking for a turquoise ring that has a unique flare, this certainly fits the bill.

This ring was handmade by Bennie Ration, a Native American jewelry artist from New Mexico. His work is quite distinctive because he usually incorporates intricate silver-work like you see in this ring. Do you see all of those jagged cuts at the bottom and top? Bennie uses a tiny jeweler's saw to cut each of them. The rope design and those tiny balls on each side are all individually soldered on. Needless to say, a lot of time and effort goes into making a turquoise ring like this. It is something that you should treasure forever!
