Bora never fails to excite us with his incredible designs! This Persian turquoise ring is unlike anything I have seen before. One one end you have the turquoise stone with a robin's egg shape and color. Persian turquoise is some of the oldest mined in the world and is not often seen in the United States. On the opposite end of this ring the shank widens into a whale's tail shape. This section has Bora's signature oxidized sterling silver with a layer of bronze on top. This bronze is also found on the bezel around the stone and really stands out quite well.
Bora is a jewelry artist who lives in New York but was originally from Turkey. His work always has a strong Mediterranean influence and is some of the most unusual jewelry that we carry. The size of this ring can be adjusted somewhat to fit your finger. Bora used a heavy shank that makes this not only durable but also ensures it will not open mistakenly. While wearing this you will notice that the stone does stick up a fair amount, although not in a particularly negative way. It helps make this turquoise ring even more noticeable. Despite its large and showy styling, this ring is very comfortable and feels very nice when slipping it on. Bora does a wonderful job making his designs very livable and easy to wear.
