You are looking at a very unusual pendant that Gary Glandon, our resident silversmith, just completed. This has a Turquoise Mountain stone with a bright lime-green color. Turquoise Mountain is part of the large Kingman Turquoise conglomerate. Stones from this mine can have a vast variety of colors and looks. The green color here is unique and reminds me of Damele, which we have carried in the past. Another unique feature of this stone is that it is somewhat rough compared to most cabochons. It is a little difficult to see in the picture but down in the lower right corner, there is an area that is rougher than normal. This is by design and gives it a more natural look. This turquoise stone is also very rounded and sticks out a fair amount from the sterling silver base.
Gary added a simple design for this pendant with some silver balls on the left, right, and bottom sides. He added a small silver bee to the top of this pendant which is a fun detail that I have never seen him use before. This bee adds a jovial spirit to this turquoise pendant that I know you will love. It is certainly unique and will be sure to draw attention!
