Look at this brand new pair of Sonoran Gold Turquoise earrings handmade by Gary Glandon! Sonoran Turquoise jewelry has been astonishingly popular in our store over the last couple of years since this beautiful stone first hit the market. Like the ones in this pair of earrings, the prettiest stones have a wonderful mixture of deep green and blue along with a bright yellow matrix. You find great variation in the appearance of Sonoran Turquoise because of the different mixture of colors. Some are much more green with little blue or yellow while others have small splotches of blue. My personal favorites have a nice balance of colors, just like in these earrings.
My father and our in-house silversmith, Gary Glandon, picked out these stones himself. After diligent searching, he found two matching stones with very pretty coloring that would work well for earrings. Because these are fairly large stones, he did not add a lot of extra silverwork to these earrings. Gary gave these a simple border around the outside with intricate texturing. He uses a special hammer (one of many in his collection) to add this texturing. This is just one step that goes into creating a handmade pair of turquoise earrings.
These Sonoran Turquoise earrings are 1" from top to bottom and 7/8" wide. This is a fairly good size and it ensures that these beautiful stones will be noticed. They are solid sterling silver, including the posts on the back. You will find Gary Glandon's signature hallmark stamp "Glandon" on the back.
Don't miss out on these lovely Sonoran Turquoise earrings that were handmade right here by my father! The stones are to die for and the silverwork is simplistic and modern. What's not to love?
