My father, Gary Glandon, makes some beautiful turquoise jewelry but I honestly think he outdid himself with this time. It is one of my favorite pieces he has made in a long time. This bracelet has a gorgeous natural Kingman Turquoise stone set on top. The webbing throughout this stone in very interesting to look at. Then the band actually has two different layers soldered together. The bottom layer is regular polished sterling silver. Above that, however, he used fine silver with a unique hammered texture. Fine silver gives this metal a whiter color, which really stands out nicely. I honestly cannot believe how elegant this bracelet is. It is definitely a more contemporary look for turquoise jewelry and would look amazing as a dress-up piece. The opening on this bracelet is 1 1/8" wide.
When it comes to turquoise jewelry you do have to be careful to ensure you are getting the real thing. Gary Glandon only gets his stones from people he knows and trusts and he picks out each one individually. He completely handmakes his pieces so you can be sure that he only uses genuine stones in his creations.
