It measures 3 1\/4\" long (not including the bail which adds roughly another half inch when it hangs) and about 2 1\/4\" wide. IT was made from 18 gauge sterling silver. This is a large piece that will be the center of your outfit. Once finished in the press, Gary hand-stamped the curved sunrise pattern along the outside border. Lining up and hammering each stamp is the most time-consuming portion of making these little conchos. Once this is complete, he solders the loops at the top and adds the hooks. This new equipment allows Gary to make these relatively quickly, although there is still some work that goes into them. It also helps keep the price lower for you because it does not require hours of hand-engraving or stamping the design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese concho earrings have a stylish, ranch-style look you will enjoy. Some time ago, a customer came to us and asked for custom arrowhead pendants that he could give to several members of his family. Once we had a design that he liked, Gary got to work creating these. While they look fairly simple, there is actually quite a lot of work that goes into this. Gary had to source some very heavy silver bars, which can be expensive. He cut out each arrowhead using his tiny jewelry saw. Because these pendants are so thick (3\/16\" of solid sterling silver), sawing these required a lot of time. I would estimate each pendant took somewhere around forty minutes just to cut. Needless to say, making several of these at once resulted in some serious arm pain! After the general shape was cut, Gary engraved and hammered the small details that you see. He also had to solder the bail loop at the top for the chain. As you can see, a great deal of time and effort went into creating these arrowhead pendants. We liked them so much once they were complete that we decided to make more so that we could offer them to you in our store collection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs I said above, this is a simple pendant but one with a lot of character. It is very striking but could still be worn as an everyday piece. I think the unique design and size makes this perfect for either a woman or a man. This dangles at the bottom giving the pendant an added element of fun. This is such a unique piece, unlike anything Gary has ever made before. It is nearly 2 1\/4\" wide and 3 3\/4\" long (not including the bail). A few trees were engraved at the bottom of the copper and Gary used some stamp work to make it look grassy. The rising sun is cut from brass with some engraved rays shooting out across the sky. With so many layers and three different types of metal, this pendant required a lot of thought and planning. It was a team effort by Skylar and Gary. Skylar designed the bracelet by drawing out each individual layer. In doing this, he had to ensure that they would all fit together appropriately when laid on top of one another. Skylar also cut all the layers out. Gary handled the tough soldering job and the engraving. When you apply heat during the soldering process, the different pieces tend to move. This is not normally a major issue because you can adjust small pieces during the soldering process and file bits down afterward. With such a substantial bracelet, however, these layers had to be lined up exactly right, which demanded constant adjustment while soldering. Another challenge was heating so much silver. Evenly soldering so much metal required much more heat than a smaller piece of jewelry, such as a ring or pendant. Creating this bracelet was tricky and took a lot of work.
