You are looking at a fun turquoise pendant that Gary Glandon, our own in-house silversmith, recently completed. This pendant has a large Blue Jay Turquoise stone that has a green hue and light brown matrix. Blue Jay is mined in Nevada near a cluster of other turquoise mines. This stone that Gary used has an unusual appearance from much of our other turquoise jewelry.
The most interesting feature of this pendant is its sterling silver design. Gary cut a teardrop-shaped disc and suspended the stone in the center, which dangles pleasantly. The silver disc has a hammered texture that reflects the light as it turns. This effect, along with the pendant's large size, make this stand out nicely. It will be easily noticed from across a room!
This pendant is 1 1/2" wide and 2" tall, not including the bail. The bail adds another 5/16" or thereabouts. The center stone is 3/4" wide and 1" tall. The chain that is pictured is not included. If you have any further questions, please let us know!
