These Sonoran turquoise earrings were handmade by my father, Gary Glandon, right here at Stagecoach. They have Sonoran Gold turquoise, which is found in Mexico, near to the U.S. border. This stone is distinctive because it often has an intense green coloring unlike most other types of turquoise. Some stones have a mixture of green and blue with a yellow matrix mixed in. These earrings are purely green with that same yellow to brown matrix. They have a lovely coloring that really stands out. I have no doubt that you will receive lots of comments about this pair of earrings!
Gary kept these earrings simple in terms of silverwork. He used his robust silver bordering around the bezel that I personally enjoy so much. In my eyes, this adds a contemporary styling that looks quite nice. These turquoise earrings dangle from a sterling silver post at the top. That's about it for the silverwork. Its basic design helps to emphasize the gorgeous stones.
As with all of Gary's handmade jewelry, these turquoise earrings are one-of-a-kind. That means once they are gone you won't see another exactly like these. Don't miss out on these because you are going to really enjoy them!
These are just under 1 1/4" long from the top of the post to the bottom. They measure about three-fourths inch wide. You will find Gary's signature stamp on the reverse side as well as "Sterling".
