Handmade Native American Jewelry
Spiny Oyster Shell is a lovely stone that comes from Baja California. In Native American jewelry, the shells have taken the place of coral, which is becoming much more difficult to find. The shell has been inlaid together in this cross and you can easily see how many different colors it can come in. The Native American jewelry artist cut each of these stones out and fit them all together with great precision. Around the stones, there is an intricate design in the sterling silver that adds some interesting detail. There is definitely a lot of work that goes into this piece. This pendant measures just under 2" tall (not including the bail) and 1 1/4" wide. Don't miss out on this beautiful piece of Native American jewelry!
