Here we have a Kingman Turquoise pendant that was handmade by Native American jewelry artist Phillip Sanchez. The Kingman Turquoise mine is in Arizona and is the only large-scale turquoise producer still in operation in the United States. While it can have a lot of different looks, this particular stone has a classic light-blue color with lots of little white flakes sprinkled throughout. Personally, I like when a turquoise pendant has some of this in the stone because I think it gives it a little more character. Regardless, this is a very pretty piece that you will definitely enjoy.
This turquoise pendant was handmade by Phillip Sanchez, a Native American jewelry artist who resides in New Mexico. He stamped his name on the back so you will always know who the artist is. You will find more of Sanchez's work at Stagecoach because he always make some beautiful high-quality pieces. The decoration that you see in the sterling silver is very indicative of his style. He typically adds this sort of Native American detailing around the outside of his jewelry. We have carried Phillip Sanchez's work for many years and you can trust in his craftsmanship.
This turquoise pendant is just over an inch wide and about 1 1/2" tall, not including the bail. There is an 18" sterling silver chain that is included.
