Native American Turquoise Pendant From Les Baker Designs

This pendant was done in the Les Baker style. Les Baker was an amazing jewelry artist from Albuquerque, NM who taught Native Americans silversmithing at the university. He created his own unique style and became very well-known in the Native American jewelry community. Les was also a great friend of ours and actually taught my father silversmithing. Unfortunately, Les passed away on Feb. 14, 2014. However, his wife Shirley Baker has gathered some of the top American Indian jewelry artists to continue Les Baker's wonderful style.

This particular pendant has beautiful flowing sterling silver leaves and vines around its genuine turquoise stone. Les Baker pioneered this leaf style and did it better than anyone. You know this is a one-of-a-kind pendant because each piece of silver has been individually cut and soldered together. This pendant measures 1" x 1" not including the bail. If you're looking for a piece of Native American jewelry with a beautiful turquoise stone and a wonderful artistry, you can't go wrong with this one.
