This is a really lovely Sonoran Gold Turquoise pendant that was entirely handmade in sterling silver. Sonoran Gold Turquoise is a new mine that comes from Sonora, Mexico, not far from the Mexico - United States border. It has been one of our most popular types of turquoise partly because it is so different. This pendant is a wonderful example of the variety of colors that Sonoran Gold Turquoise can have. This has a very pretty mixture of green and blue along with some gold that is interwoven. This particular pendant looks to have many tiny pixels or speckles that make up its appearance, which is a unique quality that I haven't seen in other stones of this type. It just goes to show how much variety there is in Sonoran Gold Turquoise.
This pendant was handmade by a Native American jewelry artist in New Mexico. This artist added some neat detailing such as a silver rope encircling the stone and a notched design. You see this sort of look fairly often in Native American jewelry and I think it helps add a little extra flair to the piece. Add all of this together and you have a vibrant and very unique Sonoran Gold Turquoise pendant that is quite unlike any others.
This pendant includes an 18" sterling silver chain.
