Reversible Calvin Begay Nighttime Pueblo Pendant

Handcrafted Native American Jewelry

Wow, what a fantastic pendant! This piece was designed by Calvin Begay, a well-known inlay artist from Gallup, NM. Calvin specializes in starry night pueblo scenes like you see in this pendant. A tremendous amount of work goes into making these inlaid pictures. It is made up of jet, picture jasper, lab-created opal, and a bit of turquoise. Notice how these Native American jewelry artists cut these stones with such fine detail that they can create a nighttime scene with stars and planets. The tiny stars that you see are pieces of silver dotted throughout the black jet. To add even more detail, the artists inlaid the bail as well!

As if this wasn't enough, the backside of the pendant has a striking design in the sterling silver. The design is unmistakably Southwestern and gives this a whole other element to this piece of Native American jewelry. This reversible Calvin Begay pendant is a true piece of wearable art!

This pendant is 2 1/2" long, including the bail. It is about 1 3/8" wide and is made of solid sterling silver.
