This is another brilliant creation by my father, Gary Glandon. Kearney is known as the Sandhill Crane Capital of the World because more than half a million stop here every spring. Birdwatchers from all across the United States come here in March to witness these majestic birds. In celebration of this annual event, Gary made this sterling silver necklace. He often makes turquoise jewelry but never anything quite like this. It has a Sandhill Crane standing atop a beautiful Kingman Turquoise stone. It reminds me of the cranes standing in the Platte River, as they so often do. Turquoise jewelry always seems so natural and this is emphasized even more with this beautiful bird. Gary engraved all of the little detail you see on this piece, a time-consuming process. The beads that are shown here are not included but certainly let us know if you are interested in them. If you love turquoise jewelry and the Sandhill Cranes don't miss out on this one of a kind pendant!
