Material produced from the new Sonoran Gold Turquoise mine has a really amazing variety of looks. Typically, as with this pendant, stones are quite green with a mix of blue and gold coloring. Sometimes they can have a very deep and intense green color. This pendant, on the other hand, has a light, airy color that seems very relaxing. You can't really tell from the picture but the stone is rounded and sticks out which gives it a three-dimensional look. The overall shape reminds me of an Easter egg.
This Sonoran Gold Turquoise pendant is entirely handmade by a Native American jewelry artist in New Mexico. It is sterling silver with a decorative rope design around the outside. This pendant is 1" tall (not including the bail) and about 5/8" wide. It includes an 18" sterling silver chain.
