Handmade Native American JewelryThis eagle pendant is handmade from genuine sterling silver by a Native American jewelry artist in the American Southwest. There is actually a lot of work that goes into this piece. Two layers of silver were used, the background and the pattern on top. The pattern was cut by hand using a tiny jewelry saw, something that takes quite a bit of time. A process like this would take me ages to complete. Fortunately, however, these Native American jewelry artists are much more talented than I. The artist stamped his bear paw insignia on the back along with "sterling." This pendant measures 2" x 1 1/2" not including the bail. The pendant is also nicely rounded from the back to create a more 3-dimensional look.
