Native American Turquoise Jewelry

This is a pretty pendant with six color matching turquoise stones. It is a stunning piece of Native American jewelry that features a group of blue-green stones. These are a mixture of Kingman and White-Water turquoise. The Kingman turquoise mine is one of the oldest and most prolific in the United States. It is the only large producing mine left in operation in the country. White Water comes from Mexico, near the Sonora area. This material has a coloring that is unique to the White Water mine. This cluster pendant showcases the beauty and variety of these two types of turquoise in a design that can be worn with a variety of chains or beads.

This pendant is handmade in sterling silver by a Tia Long, a Navajo Native American artist. Creating a piece with six stones is more labor intensive than one with a single. A lot of work goes into a pendant such as this. On the reverse side you will find the artist's hallmark "T" stamped in the silver, along with "sterling".

This pendant is about 1 1/2" wide and 2" long, including the bail.
