Handcrafted Native American Jewelry
This is a sterling silver turtle pendant from Calvin Begay and his team of Native American jewelry artists. Calvin Begay designs wonderful inlaid jewelry but truly specializes in these pueblo pictures. Using picture jasper, jet, turquoise, and cultured opal, these artists are able to create of stunning picture of Native American pueblos against a nighttime sky. The stars are little round silver pieces that shine like actual stars at night. The artists added a streak across the nighttime sky that is made up of opal and turquoise. I interpret this as a shooting star, streaking across the sky.
When you inspect the inlay work up close, you realize just how much detail is in this pendant. These Native American jewelry artists are incredibly talented, and no two pieces are the same. They even Inlaid the bail to match. If you are a fan of turtles and beautiful Southwestern artwork, you are going to really enjoy this pendant!
This pendant is about 2 1/4" long, including the bail. It is just under 1 1/4" wide. On the back you will find "Calvin Begay" stamped into the metal, as well as "sterling." This pendant also features a large bail that can hold a significantly sized chain or pair of beads. Please be aware that if we do not currently have this in stock one will be made for you. This process may take around six weeks and due to its handcrafted nature, the inlay work may differ. Each piece is different, though all are incredibly detailed and full of beauty.
