There is a lot of detail that has gone into this pendant! It was designed by David Rosales, who creates some of the finest Native American and turquoise jewelry in the country. David is known for his many color collections, some of which have become staples of Native American jewelry. This pendant features the Shalako Collection, which has turquoise, sugilite, and cultured opal. These artists cut and fit each of these stones together, a time-consuming process. The Shalako Collection is a fresh take on your typical turquoise jewelry and the colors are very balanced. Start with the dark purple sugilite, then you have the medium-toned turquoise, followed by the bright and sparkly opal. These stones work very well together!
This pendant also has neat silver work. There are two squiggly arrows on either side of the inlay work. Behind these, the silver has a textured look which makes the arrows stand out. This design gives this pendant a very native look. It is contemporary but also pays homage to classic Native American jewelry. If you are wanting a turquoise pendant with a little added color and flare, then you will really enjoy this!
