David Rosales Black Beauty Shooting Star Pendant

David Rosales Designs - Contemporary Native American Jewelry

Wow, what a beautiful pendant! This is a David Rosales piece, who is an acclaimed Native American jewelry designer from Gallup, NM. Together with his team of Navajo artists, they create stunning inlaid jewelry that still impresses us after years of carrying their work. This is the Black Beauty Collection, one of my personal favorites by David Rosales. It consists of black jade and blue cultured opal. Each stone is cut and shaped entirely by hand, an arduous process that requires patience and steady hands. This is especially true in this pendant. The artists cut the opal in such an intricate manner that it looks like shooting stars. They used small round silver pieces to resemble stationary stars in a night sky. This pendant shows how much artistry can go into Native American jewelry.

This pendant is shaped as a Yei, a Navajo spirit or god-like figure. You see Yei's pictured in Native American jewelry, paintings, rugs, and other artwork. It is an important symbol in the Navajo culture. This pendant really stands out and makes a statement. It is 3" long (including the bail) and 1 3/4" wide. Its size and colors ensure that it will not go unnoticed. Pair it with a heavy chain or black beads to complete the look.

Please allow around six weeks for delivery of this pendant. Once you place an order, we will have David Rosales and his artists begin making this for you. This delicate work takes time and I promise that you will be thrilled once it arrives. Please contact us with any questions at 308-234-3313.
