Golden Hills Turquoise Wayfinder Pendant in Carved Richlite by Skylar Glandon

This one-of-a-kind pendant was handmade by Skylar Glandon here at Stagecoach. The piece features a striking combination of Richlite and Golden Hills Turquoise, blending modern materials with traditional Southwestern style. Needless to say, there has never been another piece of jewelry quite like this.

The body of the pendant is carved from Richlite, a durable and sustainable material made from layers of recycled paper that are pressed and hardened with resin. This Richlite is multilayered, and Skylar carved a compass-like design that reveals the contrasting lower layer, giving the pendant depth and dimension.

At the center of the design is a Golden Hills Turquoise stone set in a simple sterling silver bezel. Golden Hills Turquoise is mined in Kazakhstan and has quickly become one of the most sought-after types of turquoise in the world. It is admired for its unusual blue-lavender coloring paired with a rust-colored matrix, creating a striking and easily recognizable look.

This is a very large pendant, measuring 3 1/2 inches long (including the generous circular bail) and 2 1/8 inches wide. Despite its size, the Richlite makes this pendant lightweight and comfortable. The oversized bail makes it ideal for wearing with Navajo Pearls, as pictured, or pairing with a heavy chain. Skylar kept the bezel setting understated so that all the focus remains on the intricate Richlite carving and the vibrant Golden Hills stone.

The Golden Hills Turquoise Wayfinder Pendant is meant to be the centerpiece of any outfit. Bold, detailed, and full of character, it will draw attention wherever it is worn.
