Inlaid Spiny Oyster Shell Earrings

Handmade Native American Jewelry

This is a really neat pair of Spiny Oyster Shell earrings. This shell comes from the Sea of Cortez in Baja California, Mexico. For environmental reasons, it is now much more common in Native American jewelry than coral. Spiny Oyster can come in several different colors, including the orange and red that you see here. Each piece has been hand-cut and fit together, a challenging process for even the best jewelers. This has a cobblestone inlay style, meaning that the stones have a three-dimensional feel to them. These earrings measure 1" x 1/2" and have sterling silver posts on the back. This is a wonderful example of how different Native American jewelry can be.

If we currently have these earrings in stock they will be sent out to you right away. If we do not have them we will have David Rosales create a pair just for you. This process normally takes between 3 and 4 weeks. Please contact us with questions concerning availability or any other matters at 308-234-3313.
