The Gary Glandon Kingman Turquoise Blue Mesa Pendant features vivid blue turquoise with dark, web-like matrix and silvery flecks that sparkle as the stone turns in the light. Handmade by Gary in the jewelry workshop at Stagecoach in Nebraska, this pendant pairs a colorful stone with an unusual layered sterling silver setting.
Gary added two silver rope borders around the turquoise: a smaller, thinner rope resting on top of a larger, denser rope. Together, they give the setting depth and a detailed edge that follows the stone’s tapered, angular shape. A smooth silver bezel frames the turquoise, while the polished bail keeps the upper portion simple.
The Blue Mesa name reflects the pendant’s Southwestern character and broad, angular silhouette. Across the stone, bright blue areas contrast with darker matrix and scattered silvery specks. If you enjoy turquoise with plenty of pattern, this piece offers something different to notice as the light changes.
At approximately 1 inch wide and 2 inches long, including the bail, the pendant has enough presence to wear on its own. Pair it with your favorite silver chain for an everyday piece that also works well dressed up.
